Samena Squares Newsletter #25

Dear Friends,

Congratulations! We have danced (learned?) all the calls at least once. Next week we will celebrate with a party! There will be lots of fun surprises! And dancing too!

After the party is over…that’s when the real learning begins as you dance to other callers in other clubs. All callers have the same list of calls to work from. We just combine the calls in different ways, with different music, and with different voices. I would encourage you to attend the workshops on Thursday nights to build up your floor time. I would also encourage you to go dance as often as you are able.

A helpful hint to assist your dancing at club dances is to dance in the front of the hall. Why? The better dancers dance in the front. The caller can offer more help to the dancers in the front with more helper words or more repetitions.

You will be offered the opportunity to join the Samena Squares. I would encourage you to join a club. It helps assure that you will have a regular place to dance. The Samena Squares are a great club where everyone pitches in to make every dance a success.

Have a great week!

Happy dancing,
Susan

PS I am sending a separate email with attachments of the Basic 1 and 2 lists and the Mainstream list.
