Dear Friends,
I hope you all had a good weekend! Thank you for your patience with this week’s newsletter. My computer was tied up most of the weekend downloading some things that I needed. Or trying to anyway! Arrgh!
We have two more classes in 2018. Can you believe it that we are almost to the end of 2018?
With that reminder there is a student level dance on New Years Eve right in our very own hall. It is hosted by the Samena Squares and the Whirlybirds (hosts of the First Friday Fun Fest). Dave Harry and I will be calling together. There are two more Thursday nights to get your tickets ahead of time. You are always welcome to show up at the last minute. I hope you will all be there.
Several of you have been asking about dancing in the summer at Circle 8 Ranch. I will have fliers and more information very soon. The Ranch has had to switch to new programs so there has been some delay. I hope that they will be available for the New Years Eve dance or when we come back on January 3. I will keep you posted.

21. Circulate Family:
21. c. All 8 Circulate: As an individual dancer move to the next position on your circulating path. For example, if you are a Center in an ocean wave, you remain a Center. If you are the End in an ocean wave, you remain an End. ALL 8 CIRCULATE – 4 steps.
44 a. Flutterwheel: With the couple you face, the Right hand dancers step forward for a right arm turn, picking up the opposite dancer and bringing them back with them. FLUTTERWHEEL – 8 steps.
44 b. Reverse Flutterwheel: With the couple you face, the Left hand dancers step forward for a left arm turn, picking up the opposite dancer and bringing them back with them. REVERSE FLUTTERWHEEL – 8 steps.
48. Ferris Wheel: From a Two Faced Line; The couples facing IN step straight forward till the centers can touch adjacent hands (forms a new two-faced line in the center) then they do half of a Couples Trade and Bend The Line to face the adjacent couple. The OUT-FACING couple (with an imaginary adjacent couple) does half of a Couples Trade and the Bends to face the Center of the set. FERRIS WHEEL – 6 steps.
